About Us
artisanal bread made simple. your focaccia adventure awaits.

Small Batch. Minimal Ingredients.
Jennie's House comes from Auntie Jennie who taught us a love of food, flavor, and family. We create in small batches from Los Angeles, using stone-milled heritage grains sourced from local Southern California farms. Naturally lower in gluten and drought-resistant, these exceptional grains bring sustainability you can taste. Whether enjoying our ready-to-bake focaccia or crafting your own with our mix, just add a drizzle of EVOO and a pinch of flakey salt for that Auntie Jennie touch. From our kitchen to yours - better bread, from better grains.

the mind behind Jennie’s house
In 2020, like many others during the pandemic, I found myself spending more time in the kitchen after moving from Brooklyn to Woodstock, NY. Coming from a big Sicilian family where dinner time was sacred and no table was complete without crusty Italian bread at its center, cooking was my way of staying connected to home.
I began making focaccia for friends who would visit on weekends, welcoming them with the aroma of fresh-baked bread and the comfort of a warm kitchen. It became my thing - friends would text ahead asking if I was baking focaccia for their visit. When they kept insisting, "This bread is unreal - you could really sell this!" I finally listened. What started at a local farmers market, where weekend lines would form for warm focaccia, soon grew to supplying local grocers and cafes.
After a pause and a move to Los Angeles in 2023, I revisited the idea with renewed energy and vision. At the heart of Jennie's House is a simple truth I learned growing up: food is how we care for each other. Named after my great aunt who taught me that preparing a meal is one of the purest forms of love, we're continuing this legacy of bringing people together through bread. Whether it's a casual dinner with friends or a moment of quiet enjoyment alone, we believe every meal deserves good bread made with care.

In honor of Auntie Jennie
While Italian cooking and the love for food have always been in my blood, it all really started with Auntie Jennie. Jennie was a sweet and fragile woman (not to mention an incredible cook!) and was the first person to show me how food can bring people together. Growing up outside of Boston, a visit to Auntie Jennie’s at her pre-war steep walkup in the North End was always a source of peace and warmth. Soap operas, Pepperidge Farm Sausalito cookies, and Italian cooking was my happy place!
